"The Fishmonger" Serial Killer
I was with Cheryl and Anita around the city and had to get out to the east side to meet with Enrique and his very close 'non-existant in reality' friend. We had to take the subway. Somehow I knew my car was somewhere, but I had no idea where. Was it in my driveway? Someone elses? Who knew?

We saw reports of a serial killer on the loose. His preferred method of killing was to make one clean cut from neck to abdomen and gut them clean of all their internal organs. We were in some shop on the Danforth when a report came over the news saying that the killer or someone who knew him released a picture with the insistence that it revealed clues. The image was black. It was not the media, but someone online who realized all that was required was to lighten the image. In doing so, it revealed a young man and woman sitting on a bed, facing each other, with heads slightly lowered. The man was expressionless, but he was half gazing towards the camera. The lightening could only produce a twilight image where the subjects were silhouetted and not much colour or detail was visible.

As we were on the 'subway' (which was much more lavish than what the TTC provides), another detail was released that the killer travels in a white golf cart. Wouldn't this be easy to spot on the busy roads of the city? Somehow, at this stage, we all knew we had some tie to this killer, and we knew that somehow, he ultimately wanted to find us, though none of us spoke a word if it to the other.

Eventually we got out to meet En and his friend. They picked us up from the eastern most stop of the new-and-improved RT. They had a minivan which worked out to accommodate all of us. And off we were to some entertainment location north-east of the city. We went in enjoyed ourselves and had a good time doing whatever it was we went there for. The staff was very personable and we said our goodbyes and got ready to leave. In the van, Cher mentioned that she forgot her scarf and had to go back in to get it. Anita went to join her. I was alone in the van, because the guys were outside somewhere. And that's when I noticed it. In the middle of the empty road, there was parked an empty white golf cart.

Panic seezed me. I jumped out of the van and sprinted back into the place yelling for Cheryl and Anita. Images of the staff flitted through my mind, and one guy, with the slight turn of the chin and the intensity of his gaze, I knew it was him. He was here. And he was waiting for us.

The guys ran after me, shouting at me to get back in the van. Luckily, They were in the lobby, heard me and ran out to join me. They were safe. I ushered them into the van, the guys joined us and we sped off. I began wondering about my car. Where was it? I needed it.

And that was when I woke up.

My Agent
They can be so easy-come-easy-go, can't they? All about you one second, and leave you stone cold the next. Sounds like some men I know :P

But after years of silence, mine messaged me the other day, telling me to send a sample of my finished novel. So I did. I followed up with a 'didja get it?' And guess what I've heard so far?

A big, fat dial tone. Or the equivalent of a dial tone in email inbox terms. I guess, that would be the lowering of eyelids accompanied with a sigh.

So yes, its' been two weeks since they've surely had the work in hand. But I'm still checking my inbox every day...
